Do I need a doctors referral to see a Paediatric Physiotherapist?
No, you do not need a referral to see a private paediatric physio. You can call and make an appointment with us directly.
Do you have rooms or are you purely a mobile physio service?
At Amber-Jayne Stirling Paediatric Physiotherapy we are a mobile practice so we come to you. Children may be seen in their own homes or other suitable locations.
Do I need to provide anything for the physiotherapy appointment?
The only thing your physiotherapist will need is some floor space and possibly some of your child’s favourite toys. If your baby is not yet mobile, your physio should only need some space on the carpet or on a rug in the living room or other suitable area. If you child is walking and running, we may need a bigger space so that we can assess their mobility – a hallway, a large lounge room or outside on the patio can work well for this.
Paediatric Physiotherapy Newcastle Our Paediatric Physiotherapy Practice
We are a mobile paediatric physiotherapy practice, specialising in the physiotherapy treatment of infants, children and adolescents. We provide paediatric physiotherapy services for children living in the greater Newcastle, Lower Hunter, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens areas.
A paediatric physiotherapist is committed to optimising a child’s movement. It is achieved by gaining the best muscle and joint function available in the growing body. This is achieved by providing thorough assessment and an individual treatment program to suit your child’s needs.
